Chex Muddy Buddies
Ingredients
- 9 C Chex cereal any combination of rice, corn, chocolate, or peanut butter
- 1 C semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ C peanut butter
- ¼ C butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1½ C powdered sugar
Directions
- Measure cereal into large mixing bowl
- Add chocolate, butter, and peanut butter to microwave safe bowl
- Microwave for 90 seconds at 50% power. Stir the mixture.
- Microwave again for 90 seconds at 50% power. Should be fully melted at this point.
- Stir vanilla extract into chocolate mixture.
- Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, and stir gently to fully coat.
- Add coated cereal to 2 gallon zip-top bag, followed by powdered sugar.
- Gently rotate bag to coat chocolate cereal in powdered sugar.
- Spread on wax paper to cool.
- Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
