Flour Tortillas
Ingredients
- 3 C All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 6 TBSP olive oil
- 1 C lukewarm water
Directions
- Combine flour, salt, and baking powder in stand mixer bowl.
- Set the stand mixer on low speed with the dough hook, and slowly add the olive oil then the water.
- Continue running stand mixer for 1-2 minutes.
- Cut tortillas into the size you want (makes ~16 small tortillas or 6 burrito-sized tortillas).
- Roll dough into balls then press into thick discs. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Roll out tortillas using a rolling pin on a floured surface (working in cardinal directions, counter-clockwise) until approximately 2-3 mm thick.
- Cook for approximately 1 minute, then flip and continue cooking for another 30 seconds.
