Bao Filling
Ingredients
- ½ lb ground turkey
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp hoisin sauce
- 1 pinch ground Chinese five-spice powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 TBSP cooking oil
- 150 g carrot
- 1 small onion - finely chopped
- 2 TBSP Cilantro - finely chopped
Follow this recipe for the dough.
Directions
- Add carrots to food processor and process until smaller than a pepper corn.
- Put turkey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, salt and Chinese five-spice in a mixing bowl.
- Stir-fry the carrots and oil until softened, then add meat mixture and cilantro.
- Steam the buns according to dough recipe.
