Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 1½ C water (300ml)
- 2 tsp yeast (10ml)
- 2 tsp sugar (10ml)
- 1 tsp salt (5ml)
- 1lb3½ oz bread flour (550g)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 TBSP Italian seasoning
- 2 TBSP olive oil
Manual Directions
Get water from Berkey, microwave for 30 seconds to make it slightly warm.
- Mix water, sugar, salt & yeast together. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Mix flour and seasonings together
- Slowly incorporate flour mixture into liquid mixture. Hand knead until thoroughly mixed.
- Let rise for 1 hour in warm location
Calzones
Preheat oven to 425F.
- Slice dough into 4 equal pieces.
- Roll out each piece until approximately 1/4-inch thick.
- Add desired fillings (sauce/cheese/pepperoni).
- Fold over and pinch shut at seal.
- Run knife across top to create 3 slits for venting (be careful to not cut too deep).
- Bake for 13-15 minutes.
Pizza Muffins
Preheat oven to 425F.
- Slice dough into 12 equal pieces.
- Roll out each piece into approximately 6-inch rounds.
- Stuff one round per location in a greased muffin tin.
- Add sauce/cheese/toppings as desired.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
NOTE:
- Dough can be stored in refrigerator for 3 days, remove from refrigerator 1 hour prior to use.
